1. A mouse scurried across the kitchen floor while Owen and I were at the table eating breakfast. Ugh!! Why won't they leave me alone?!
(The word scurry is always associated with mice. It's so very appropriate. That's exactly what they do. Scurry!)
2. Owen is teething. I keep getting frustrated that he's so winy and irritable, then I rub his swollen gums with those sharp bumpy teeth pushing through and remember that he is 100% validated. Thank goodness for Tylenol.
3. I payed bills.
4. I made dinner.
5. Owen and I played lots of tackle basketball in his room. He now thinks, any game with a ball includes tackling.
6. I finished my sewing project.
7. We went to the library and read stories on O's favorite blue bean bag. We were happy it wasn't already occupied. We also made friends with a really nice boy who was about 10 years old.
8. My dear friend called, who is the best to chat with, and makes me laugh every time with comments like "I mean, what the heck does she have to offer him, besides her high school diploma?!"
9. Owen and I got a doughnut. I really, really love that 3 quarters and a trip to the bakery on Main street makes this little boy's entire day.
10. I put Owen to bed, and will have the quiet evening to myself with my husband (once he gets home from his meeting).

Oh my gosh, that picture of him with a doughnut makes me so happy. like seriously happy with a big sloppy grin. Does life get better than that? an adorable little one enjoying life to the fullest with something as simple as a doughnut.
