Owen started his second year of preschool a few weeks ago. Before his first day he and I spent some time together at city creek. He got some new shoes and chose a shirt for his first day. It was fun having some time with just the two of us. Here he is throwing pennies into the fountain and wishing to "someday swim with dolphins and be an airplane pilot when he grows up"
It was cute to see what he picked out on his very own. He found some airplane sneakers at the Disney store that he LOVED! In the clothes store I thought he would go for the super heros or ninja turtles, but he went straight to a red polo shirt and said "I want this but blue instead" we looked around for a minute and found the perfect shade of blue. I had him try it on. He said "this is my first time trying stuff on in a dressing room!" and then I cried cause he looked so old.
We got to meet his teachers together the first day who are so bubbly and warm and fun and just what he needs to bring him out of his tender little shell a little bit.

He barely missed the deadline for kindergarten and I am glad about that! One more year with lots of time at home is just what we all needed.
