Birthday festivities

I think, and hope that both Treavor and Owen had happy birthdays. We had a fun filled week celebrating their 1st and 28th years of life.
For Treavor's birthday we got a babysitter. What is so freeing, invigorating and refreshing about a night out babyless? I guess just that. It's babyless. Treavor and I went to dinner, shopped a little bit, got a carmel apple, that I forgot to share with him, and really enjoyed eachother's company. I guess we don't do the babysitter thing enough around here, cause it really gave me a little bit of a rush.

On Owen's birthday we did a lot of things he loves. We took a walk, blew bubbles, crawled up and down the stairs a lot, he ate Tostinos pizza for dinner (he can almost eat half of it!) and that night we went up the canyon. He loved putting his feet in the river! A couple days later we celebrated with both sets of his loving Grandparents and my siblings. We celebrated September birthdays with Treavor's family a few weeks ago.

Here are a few pictures from the week:

On our very little hike. Owen was pushed in the stroller the whole way, that gives you an idea of how smooth and easy the trail was.
Anxiously awaiting the arrival of our party guests.

Grandmas
The birthday boys:
I'm mostly posting this last picture for my oh "sew" talented cousin Natalie. She helped me make that birthday banner. I'm pretty proud of myself, cause it's the first little sewing project I've done since 7th grade sewing class where I folded my pillow case the wrong way, so it was long and skinny and I told my teacher I would use it for a laundry bag instead.

Owen's favorite part out of everything that happened, and everything that he received, are the three balloons that are still floating around our house.
