Change

Every time I have to buy a new size of diapers or put a piece of clothing in the "too-small bin" I have to make an effort not to cry! Well lately I've had a couple of doozies! Owen got a big boy car seat, and we had to buy a gate for the top of our stairs, because he is moving so fast and constantly. He almost has 4 teeth, and all his clothes are 12 months. I just started crying and having a little anxiety the other night as I was rocking him. It's a little pathetic cause he's still a baby!! What am I going to do when he goes to kindergarten or Jr. High or on a mission or gets married?!?!?! I've got to figure something out before then, becasue it seems every day brings a new emotional reminder that he truly is growing constantly!!
On that note I really do LOVE the stage he is in. He's been so fun! He recently became very mature. I love that I can call him from the other room and he'll come crawling in. I love that he has a new fake, courtesy laugh, when he knows I'm trying to be funny. And I love that he crawls all over Treavor. I swear, wrestling is an innate, natural born thing for males.

I just got back from a girls trip on Saturday and it was so fun to come home to Owen's welcoming smile. It feels good to have someone love, miss and need you so much.

Here are a few recent pictures of the big boy:

Happy graduation Mally!

A day at the zoo with his buddy Tucker

When cousin Bodie was in town we went to See's. Owen was like a fat kid in a candy store...oh wait that's exactly what he was. Both the boys LOVED those suckers!

Um, I've been trying to get over those milestones too and I just don't think there is a way to not get emotional! But he is just such a sweet boy! I LOVE that he has a "courtesy" laugh! That is awesome! And I love that tie-dye onesie shirt. You totally rock it Owen! And lastly, you guys have a See's in Utah? I thought that was a Cali thing?! So now you guys have In N Out and See's and there is still NO Cafe Rio!? What the heck! Can't wait to see you again in a couple of weeks!

It is a hard thing when you can just see them growing up right before your eyes! We don't get to keep them small forever that's for sure. We just need to try to enjoy every minute while we can. That is so cute that he has a courtsey laugh! He is such a cutie.

It is definitely a hard thing to have the baby growing up. Good thing is you can still have more. Right? Well... I guess it is easier said then done. It is good you are recognizing and loving him every step of the way. What a good mom you are!

I miss you too! I can't believe he's getting so big! Savanna is no longer a baby any more either. That's when you start getting baby hungry again. I mainly just want a playmate for her, so I think we'll stop at 2 for a while. Just cherish every moment and enjoy it! Cause soon he'll be 2 and throwing tantrums! lol
