Fathers day

I love re-listening to my grandma and grandpa Bell's funeral talks. We have them recorded and all 8 of their kids spoke at both funerals. They are insightful, beautiful talks perfectly illustrating June and George, all they stood for and the righteous lives they lived.

At my Grandpa's funeral, my uncle Cory talks about a time that he was emotionally in pain. He was a grown man. He was going through a really tough time and went to his dad as a troubled son. The stresses of life were weighing heavily on him. His Dad comforted him and loved him and ended the conversation by saying "now go home and wrestle with your children. Tell them you love them."
It was at that time that Cory realized that all those countless times that his dad wrestled with him as a child, he was in pain. He was sick the majority of his adult life and never let the burden of physical pain, finances, calling, work, marriage or raising 8 children affect his relationship with his kids. He made life light hearted and fun just as it should be for such little people.

This is one thing that I fell in love with about Treavor and never could have pinpointed til recently. I have watched, many times as he'll privately tell me something extremely stressful about work or anything else and then a child will walk in the room and he'll smile big, give big hugs and start wrestling.
He keeps life so very happy and carefree for his children. What a talent and a blessing.
