My dear Kit is growing up.
She's expressing herself more and i've loved the confidence and grown up attitude that has come with it.
She has been behind in speech and we've been working hard at it. It's been a challenge that has brought lots of tears and frustration for the two of us. However, looking back at the lack of communication we've had the last year. She's been so patient. She's tried hard in speech therapy and she's really put in the work. Amazing what kind of perseverance such a little tyke can have. She's taught me about living life to your very best even when it doesn't come easy. She is just starting to talk at exactly 3 years old and not for a lack of effort. She has such a smart active little brain putting in the work...just a challenge her tiny little body was given and she's handled it like a champ.
Our speech therapy days are not over.
Our confusion is not over.
The tantrums are not over.
but we're getting there. and that is such a blessing.
These pictures are in no particular order, but really capture so of my favorite pieces of this angel girl's personality. She is such a sparkle.

She's the cutest thing! We went through lots (years) of speech therapy with Emma, and she'll probably always have a little hitch with her "S" sound. Funny that such fiesty girls with so much personality have a tricky time getting it out! She's lucky to have you!
