The Saturday before Lewis' birthday, he had a pirate party with all his friends from his primary class. He has such sweet friends at a fun age who came ready to party and so excited for him to open their gifts. He was in heaven having all his buddies at his house to celebrate.
The night before his birthday I snapped this picture of my last night tucking in my three year old boy. Time can be such a thief. But i've been grateful for all that it hasn't taken yet. He turned four and that was hard on me. but we still have his soft lisp, his squishy cheeks, his long naps, his baby smooth neck, and his happy giggle.
On his special day, he went to preschool and he was really excited to wear the birthday crown. Then he went on an outing with gram. He got to go to lunch and choose a special book at the book store.

Lewis has made my life so happy. What a burst of light and joy he is! at 4 years old, he loves life. He loves people and friends and gets lots of cheerful energy when kids come to play. He entertains himself for loooong periods of time in the basement, playing with cars and planes and super heroes. He is gentle and kind and never intentionally hurts feelings. One of his favorite things is helping treavor work in the yard. He has a passion for all things happy and fun and looking at that cute grin under his party hat makes my heart burst.
