Owen spent all of last summer Loving the pool, but mostly staying right on the step or paddling around in a life jacket when he got really brave. This Summer, I knew that taking advantage of the Peters pool, and finding the right swim teacher would be the key for my very cautious boy. I love watching him, improve, try hard things, and get so proud, and thats exactly what these lessons were for him.
He is completely comfortable in the water now! Loves the slide, the diving board and even doing tricks off of it. His teacher was so sweet and her calm demeanor, quiet voice and "pretty eyes" were just the ticket.
Next year we'll work on his form, and on getting the actual swimming techniques down, but the goal of overcoming some fears was absolutely accomplished!
