I love YOU

I've had a teeny case of the post baby blues. I'm not depressed, not even sad really. Just that typical hormonal, sleep deprived, wish-I-had-time-to-take-a-shower blah feeling you know? It helps me to count my blessings when I'm in a slump like this, and my blessings are you. As silly or sappy as it may sound, it's the truth. I am a total extrovert. I live for human interaction. Just the thought of being alone is usually accompanied by a little anxiety. Because my blog is a journal (and I want a record of what I love about the people I am surrounded by) and I thrive off of all different relationships I have, I am going to tell you why I love you. I think the best representation of the people who read my blog are the names listed on my side bar... so I'll just go down the list (I know not all of those people read, but it's still fun for me to think of reasons I love them, or great memories I have) . Find your name, and you'll get to read what makes you super cool to me.

* you may be thinking "how do you not have time to take a shower, but you have time to do this???" -- cause Owie is spending the night at Gram's and Lewie is napping.

Sarah - I love that you told me you read this!!! I love that you are so humble. You serve like crazy and never expect or look for credit or praise. You have a sincere desire to help people. I love that you don't feel a need to glamorize life, you fill your families lives with true, basic happiness. you are full of simplicity, love and everything good!

Laura - You are so cultured, musical, literary, bilingual and knowledgeable in so many areas. You inspire me to learn. I remember in bear lake we were bathing in our swimming suits and you taught me how to shave my legs. You told me not to worry about shaving cream and that i could put shampoo, conditioner or even just soap on my legs...it all works the same. Sometimes I do put shampoo on my legs, and think of you. Thank you for the valuable idea you gave me many years ago.

Tristen - I love your passion. When you believe something, you really believe it, and when you love something you really love it. You are so talented and willing to work hard at improving those talents....just an example, I'm fearful of even purchasing a sewing pattern. You on the other hand, buy it, adjust it to scale to get the size you want, coordinate a dozen different colors and patterns on fabric, spend hours and hours and days and days, and voila an amazingly cute, handcrafted priceless handbag made by you. No big deal. And you have the worlds deepest darkest brownest eyes. Beautiful!

Brynn - You have your priorities so very straight. It seems like in every area of your life you know what is right, what you want and what you need. You put your children and family first and work so hard at making them happy. I've learned so much about motherhood from listening to experiences you've had with your mother, as well as how you mother your own children. I will never forget your sweet gesture of running ahead to the houses while trick or treating so Dane would get his special non allergy treats for Halloween.

Jessie - You are so comfortable in your own skin. From the second you became a part of our big family, you were yourself. You are creative and full of energy. I'm amazed at the support you give Brad and the way you happily and lovingly spend a lot of time away from him with 3 busy girls.

Andrea - I think I've told you many times that you're one of the funniest people I know. But other than that, and more importantly you are also one of the most real people I know. Every thing about you is true, honest, open and down to earth. You've always made me feel like i'm on your level, which is not an easy task with a silly 12 years younger than you cousin. Remember the time you babysat and that date came to pick you up and was mad you already ate dinner?! good memories. The same time, was just the beginning of your relationship with Brennan. I remember chatting with him on the phone and approving wholeheartedly. I thought he was the coolest...still do. Thank you for letting me visit in Arizona, and for always being up for a good, solid, late night, laughing, crying, discussing chat. There aren't many things I enjoy more.

Kim M - Geeze, where do I begin? Maybe with mayonnaise in our hair, or cucumbers on our eyes or major hikes with heavy back packs on? or maybe stake dances or you've got mail over and over or yogurt covered raisins or a tight pink leotard and girls just wanna have fun? maybe walks to Ben Franklin on a scorching summer day, or your neighbor who had a hot dog stand? Maybe sleeping outside when the sprinklers turned on on us or laughing til it hurt? or sharing yearbooks and talking about crushes or squeaky cheese? or the fearsome foursome??? I love that you are such a huge part of my childhood. You know how to have fun and we have had a lot of it in our time.

Suzanne E - You have such a good artistic eye! Your house is decorated beautifully and you take stunning photos! I love the way you seem to love (and never take for granted) every second with your cute boys.

ShayLynn - You so willingly sacrifice so much time away from your husband for people like me! I know that is not an easy thing to do...at all! especially with 3 busy kids in a busy stage of life. It is so very appreciated. You are full of sincerity and giving.

Tiffany B - I love that you know how to work!! You are so not a sissy, and teach me a lot about doing hard things. You have a great balance between working hard and playing hard. I love that you’re always up for a party or celebration. I remember when Treavor and I were first dating, we came to your house on St Patrick’s day and had a feast full of green food. I thought you were the cutest mom ever…still do.

Telisa - You are full of Joy. Always happy and making other people happy. I love the memories Treav has with you and the fun little sister you are to him. My first date with Treavor was when we went sledding with you, and I remember thinking I had a lot to live up to if he had a sister as cool as you. You are full of spunk, energy and have a beautiful, vibrant soul.

JoAnna - Talk about looking up to someone! In my ten year old eyes, you were (still are) pretty much the coolest person to walk the planet. From permed hair and beautiful nails to loafers and gerbaude jeans. I remember telling you about a little red mark I had on my face that just appeared, and had been there for a few years. You told me you had one just like it when you were younger, and then it just went away. Magically from that point on it became the coolest little blemish. Suddenly I thought I was pretty hip for having a red mark on my face. If Jo had one, I wanted one. I remember literally jumping for joy when my mom told us you were babysitting. You taught us the toilet game, the car game, and introduced us to Full house. For that I am very grateful. I love your smile. And I love that you are always smiling.

Michelle - I love that every time I talk to you, I laugh. You crack me up! I love the sweet blanket you made Owen. We use it often and I think of you every time. I remember talking about school to you, and loving your attitude of wanting to try new things. I remember you talking about being interested in nursing, and that you were thinking about giving it a try, and here you are working in the hospital! So admirable.

Mikel - You cute San Francisco city girl! It fits you perfectly. You are hip and fashionable and I would love to come visit you. You have a beautiful family!

Kathryn - It's no exaggeration when I say I could not ask for a better mother in law. You radiate sweetness in everything you do. Your family feels so loved by you, and I'm pretty sure every grandchild thinks they're your favorite. I love you the way you care so sincerely and deeply about how I'm doing, and I LOVE you for raising my husband.

Emily – I love your beautiful, silky blond hair! You always seem to be putting something together, like throwing an adorable little girl birthday party or being in charge of giant ward/neighborhood get together making pinatas late into the night:).

Tiffany K - I love your blog and just checked it out for the first time in a while. TWO BOYS?!?! Two very lucky boys! I have loved reading your sweet thoughts about trials and blessings and everything you feel. You look absolutely radiant, and it is SO fun to see you with a 17 week pregnant belly.

Heidi – I love that you have taught me so much about motherhood. I feel like I’ve asked you a million questions about pregnancy, delivery and raising children. You always have such a wise and sensible answer. I feel like you get me. We’ve spent a lot of time together the last few years, and I loved every minute with you.

Janaca – You are sweeter than sweet. I could tell from the second I met you that you were full of sweetness. I love the way you can relate to me so well with our ever changing and growing two boys.

Stephanie - I love that you laugh at most everything (Treav loves it too, you're the best audience ever!). You're always a good reminder of how funny life is. You love people, I felt your love before I even knew you very well.

Diana – I love that you make my cousin so happy, and that you have the most irresistibly, chubby, cute little boy! I love how good you are at country dancing.

Jenny – Some of the times I’ve laughed the very hardest have been with you. Can we have a girl’s camp reunion please? I love that you always laughed really hard with me!

Jessica – LOYAL! You are a friend that lasts a lifetime. One of my very best besties. Remember the time we were talking about the boys upstairs and they were standing right outside our door listening to the whole thing?!?! Remember sharing a room and eating kneaders? Remember “hi ha”? Remember how you would wake up early to do my makeup cause I don’t know how? You have hands down THE best laugh on the planet earth. I love that you listen to me like nobody’s business. I love that you love America and baseball and music and makeup and MaryKate and Ashley.

Wendi – I love that you tease Treavor relentlessly. I love that you’re always up for hanging out, and that you came over when I needed “adult interaction” I love that you eat cafĂ© rio every Monday and that you are so driven at work…such a good business women!

Eliza - I love your grace. I love how classic and romantic you are and that you're all about Audrey Hepburn and running on the golf course in the rain. I love that you're my cousin and that you'll always be a best friend. I really love all the hours that we've spent eating cinnamon toast, watching old movies, playing American Girl dolls, staying up late, running through the snow in bare feet, playing college roommates, nurf wars, twins with fake names and having "depth discussions". I love all the good times we've had, the secrets we've shared and the number of times you let me sleep in your bed. "mine is pink!"

Shanna – You are so willing. Willing to do almost anything, like give me a cup of milk, babysit my boys on your very busy Saturday or go on a 10:00 pm jog when you receive a spontaneous text from me requesting an exercise buddy. I love having such a willing neighbor, and such a fun friend.

Lacie - Thank you for never being too cool for me! It felt pretty great being a 7th grader and getting sit on the back row of the bus with all the 8th graders. You were apart of so many of my fabulous adolescent experiences. From haunted houses to girls camp. I loved hanging out with you and always felt lucky to do so.

Nicole – Most of all I love that you married my brother!! Remember the time I wanted a zinger but I couldn’t say it cause I had a cold and It was coming out zeeeger? Remember how hard you were laughing? You, Nicole are an angel on earth. I would tell you what I love most about you, but it’s everything! You are practically perfect in every way. How blessed I am to have you in my family.

Hannah – I love that you serve like crazy, and make other people’s lives happier every single day! I loved our summer picnics in the park with our boys. I love that you hate certain words and that you were a good sport when Kim and I hung a giant poster in the garage that said “jock strap”. I loved that you died my hair and let me rip out magazine pages to cover your entire wall!

Carina – You are so game. I love that about you. It’s so great to hang out with someone who is so ready to have fun. There have been many boring weekend nights that Treavor and I say we wish Lincoln and Carina lived closer. I love that you want to travel with us, and I hope that our big trips happen someday.

Mally – Sweet Mally. I love that you are my little sister and that you want to talk to me about boys. I love our sleepovers and that I know just who to call when I need a shopping buddy. I love that you offer to babysit my boys and love them so much. I love that when we’re watching tv we make fun of EVERYTHING. “Afta me Afta me”. You are full of love and life and beauty! You know the cheesy quote "a sister is a forever friend"? I always thought it was just that...cheesy until I've gotten a little older and realized how grateful I am that I will always always always be best friends with my sisters.

Paige – Lacrosse. It was the best. You were athletic and so graceful at the same time. You were so good, and didn’t take it too seriously. You made me laugh so hard and mad long hot practices so very fun. I just heard you had a 9 pound 12 ounce baby and I think you are super women.

Meagan M - Your smile lights up the room! Congratulations on graduation, what an accomplishment! I think that degree is perfect for you and that you will be able to change lives with it. Also way to go on the triathlon! Maybe you could teach me how to swim and we could do one together someday...I would love it!

Megan B - Congratulations on the mission call! It's such a brave and admirable thing to sacrifice a year and a half. I know that you will change lives, just like you have affected me with your strength, love and testimony. You are a powerful women.

Megan W - Waiting for Guffman is all I have to say. I honestly don't think I have ever laughed as hard in my life. really. Thank you for that.

Megan F - Your cute little giggle is the best! I love how you help your boys live in a world of blissful imagination. They are the cutest and have a very happy life with Megan for a mom.

Natalie - I remember coming to your house with a few of my friends in high school for a Mary Kay party. I loved it and I always loved chatting with you after babysitting Jake. You are a strong, strong women, and I know that you will be blessed for the pain you deal with every single day in such a hopeful, faithful and positive manner. I have been moved by the way you live your life many different times in many different ways.

Rachel I love that you are independent and confident. I love that you make me feel better, like the time I was physically sick because I accidentally totally offended someone, and you made it sound not quite as bad as it was. I love that you like a good deep conversation and that you’re such a good writer. I love that you’re the mother of Owie’s sweet little friend!

Da'nelle - I love your creativity with your kids. Your comment on the church picture book was a great idea, and I'm going to do it. You are full of ways to keep your kids entertained and busy.

Keri - Congratulations on your baby girl!! You are going to make a great mamma! I miss seeing you as often as I used to. I loved how

Jenny M - I love the Fenton family! I think your kids have the cutest names, and that you are such a fun mom.

Macy - I love your flawless style. You and your family and your house are so cute and put together and full of class. I loved babysitting your sweet children, and I loved having a better view of what a fabulous and mellow mom you are. I love how mellow you are in lots of areas. Remember how I was totally late for Ragnar? Holding up the entire team?? You were so relaxed about it and made me feel so much better.

Julie - It's a rare trait to be happy all the time, and not be fake. You are just that. You're realistically optomistic. You always make life great, even when it could be pretty hard and exhausting. You find the good. I love that you love cafe rio as much as I do, and that you taught me to poor my water on my salad when I was stuffed to the max to make myself stop eating it. Remember when we ran into each other in BOSTON??? "Boston's huge!" "America's huge!" I miss you!

Rachael - I love that I got to see you every day when I was a Freshman in college. Any signs of homesickness or missing my family would disappear when I would go to work and see your cute face right when I walked in. I love that you work hard and are being so brave about your big new adventure!

Karli - Loved our st. George trip, and hope there are more to come. I've always been so impressed at your superhuman abilities to go with out sleep...working all night, being a mom all day and somehow being at church immediately after long long shifts at the hospital. amazing!

Tara - You are warm. The first time I met you, you gave me a big huge hug. That was the perfect representation of how our relationship would be. You always make me feel, welcome, invited and loved. I love that we're such a good shopping duo. I love that our style is the same, and we know where we want to go, what we want, and get in and out. We're good at spending money aren't we?

Suzanne K - Remember how I sort of lived with you for a Summer? How nice was that of you? I loved it! I love your blunt humor, your opinions and honesty. I remember when you babysat us when Haylie was born. I loved it, and you did my hair so great. When I think of you, I think of fruit loop treats at the Labor day parties. good times!

Kim P - You are a great example to me on how to enjoy meditation, prayer, and scripture study. I love that you devote so much time to other people, but also make it a priority to enrich yourself all on your own. I love chatting with you and listening to all that you feel, you express yourself so well.

Annalisa - jack johnson, snoop dog, slurpees, nail polish, sleeping on the tramp, k mart pictures, what about bob, boys, boys, boys... I love that you made my high school experience such a good one! I love that we love the same things and are so weird together! I love that we were not quiet together. Remember the Halloween we were army girls, army crawling and rolling all over the gym floor? I love you Peteyo.

The end.

I kind of feel like I just did a big long year book signing session, but trust me, these were more genuine.

H.A.G.S

P.S. If you read this and I don't have your name on my list, just let me know and I'll tell you why I love you :)

Wow, this is my favorite post, EVER ;). Seriously, I can't believe how much time and effort you must have put into that. What a true friend/sister/cousin you are. You were always so much fun, all my interest in you has always been completely self-serving. You need to come hang out with me and Lize, and we'll just let the kids loose while we watch Matlock and other great stuff. Happy 4th weekend. I love you!!!

I feel like we still need to catch up sometime and relate about being moms of 2 boys. I think about how much fun we had in highschool. Don't forget the moonrock water slide up little cottonwood canyon. Maybe we should take our boys there when they are older. I miss you tons and our late night conversations talking about the wind, and all things young and exciting. Love you too Bellio :)
