Little fishies

At the begining of the Summer, Lewis loved to swim, but only stayed on the big step at the Peters pool. He refused to float around in a life jacket, or even try swimming to us when we were super close. He was in heaven in the pool as long as his feet were touching the bottom.
When I told the boys that I signed them up for swim lessons, He looked at me with sheer terror in his eyes. I said "lewie, does that make you nervous?" big huge tears began to roll down his cheeks and his soft lips turned down. "tho, tho nervouth. I will think, I know I will think" . After lots of talking and preparing and praying with him, he chose to be so very brave and try whatever his teacher asked him to do. It has been so rewarding to watch both boys progress. Owen is the cutest little thing doing the backstroke with his goggles on. Lewis has become much more comfortable and can pretty much swim all over the poo, jump off the diving bored and he even dives for toys at the bottom! I love watching my kids conquer a fear, almost more than I love anything else.

Oh man! There is tho much to learn in this life isn't there? I am glad he didn't think, and now he is a great swimmer! See? Life is just a blink: scared of thinking one day, and a little swimmer the next. I love watching it all take place in the life of a little guy. I should try and make progress everyday just like a child! I would feel really good about myself.
