Not much takes me back to my childhood more than the Love Bug. Man, I loved that movie, and the fact that the cute little car was alive. Just imagining the sounds that Herbie made, and that repetitive upbeat music, is enough to make me feel like I'm in my parents basement on a Friday night with my siblings, sprite and Butterfinger BBS. My favorite character was Tennessee. I loved his accent, his chubby cheeks, and the way he called Herbie "the little ca".
Well guess what. Every once in a while, Owen makes a facial expression that looks like Tennessee! I think I've only once captured it on camera. Every time he does it, it reminds me of the movie, which in my mind is directly linked to the "cozy weekend, Free-til-Monday" feeling.
Do you see the resemblance? I can't wait to introduce Owen to this classic show.
